Welcome, Yuletide writer and anyone else wandering by! My AO3 name is Aeriel, and I love all these canons, so no matter which we have in common, I'm excited. Generally speaking I'm open to stories of all ratings, gen, f/f, m/m or f/m. I have mostly been using my DW journal for letter writing for various exchanges which may or may not be of use to you, depending on the fandom, and I haven't been terribly active at that.

Some general DNWs that may or may not be likely to come up in the contexts of these fandoms: body horror, public humiliation, addiction in general but especially involving alcohol/drugs (I don't mind characters having a casual drink once or twice), cancer and other long-term serious illness, graphic non-con/rape, characters getting dumped 'for their own good', zombies, cruelty to animals, characters aggressively pursuing someone romantically who genuinely has no interest in them.

Blossom Culp Series- Richard Peck
Blossom Culp, Alexander Armsworth

I adore this series and rediscover it every few years or so. I think my favorite is still Blossom Culp and the Sleep of Death, which was the first one I picked up as a kid, though I also have a soft spot for The Ghost Belonged To Me.

As great as it is when Blossom has to drag Alexander kicking and screaming into an adventure, it'd be nice to see Alexander stumble into a ghost or haunting or other supernatural problem himself again and have to grudgingly ask for Blossom's help or work it out on his own. Or perhaps Blossom leaves town, makes good, and when she runs into Alexander again he's shocked to realize he's happy to see her again (and might even be willing to attempt some romance? Optional but appreciated!) Or Blossom goes abroad someplace with a slightly different local perspective on spirits and becomes unexpectedly sought after? I'd love to see an adult Blossom who's found her calling, and an Alexander who's grown something of a backbone and figured himself out a bit more, but I'd be just as happy to see more of them as awkward teenagers! I will say that I'd prefer a story that didn't focus too heavily on the upcoming World Wars-- you don't have to ignore them if you pick a time frame where they'd logically be part of life but I'd rather not receive a war or soldier story, if that makes sense.

Kushiel's Legacy- Jacqueline Carey
Alcuin nó Delaunay, Sidonie de la Courcel

I'll start by saying I picked two of my favorites whose paths never cross in canon, and though I'd especially love to see how they might play off each other, it's all right by me if you want to focus more heavily on one than the other.

Alcuin is a favorite of mine for 'what if' AU scenarios, both because I find him such an interesting, sympathetic character and because he was killed off so early in canon that there's much he didn't get to do. So however you choose to keep him alive, I'd like to see him survive and thrive in ways beyond being Delaunay's lover.

I also love Sidonie in all her prickly glory, and though she gets a much better deal altogether than Alcuin, I have always wanted to read something about her dealing with the aftermath of Carthage. Aside from that, I know Ysandre once remarks that she would have liked to have met Alcuin. Perhaps if Alcuin lived, and he and Ysandre got along, Alcuin might have become a tutor to Sidonie? Or perhaps Alcuin might have disappeared from public life for some time, only to return to court when Sidonie is old enough to be a player in her own intrigues? Or if you have some other idea for an Alcuin & Sidonie or Sidonie & Alcuin story or adventure, absolutely go ahead and write it!

That said, I'll add that I'd rather not see Alcuin/Sidonie as a romantic or sexual relationship, though if you want to include romantic/sexual relationships I'm open to Alcuin/Barquiel, Alcuin/Joscelin (preferably in a world where Phèdre/Joscelin didn't happen), Alcuin/Raphael Murain no Gentian, Sidonie/Imriel, Sidonie/Amarante, Sidonie/Maslin and past/referenced Alcuin/Anafiel Delaunay + Alcuin's canonical patrons.

モノノ怪 | Mononoke (Anime & Manga)
Medicine Seller

I really enjoyed watching this anime for the first time this year, and I just loved the style and the almost anthology-like format. So I'd be delighted to get another spooky/sad/dramatic tale, whether it be totally standalone or feature the return of Kayo or another supporting character from one of the episodes but I'd also be delighted to see something like the Medicine Seller encountering less harmful supernatural phenomena or in a different era from the ones we see him in canonically, since we know that time marches on but he doesn't seem to change. Does the Medicine Seller ever encounter anyone else like him, or pretending to be like him with a more wicked agenda?

I find all sorts of youkai and other Japanese supernatural phenomena intriguing and I'm always up for learning about new ones as well as reading about old favorites but if you're at all wondering where to start I'd love a story featuring kitsune or inugami (you may allude to animal harm with this one, though I'd prefer no graphic descriptions) or tatarimokke or ikiryō or ungaikyō.

Blossom Culp Series- Richard Peck
Blossom Culp, Alexander Armsworth (Trick or Treat)

I've been re-reading these books lately and rediscovering how fun they are just in time for the Halloween season! Crossover Fandom
Kurama | Minamino Shuichi (Yu Yu Hakusho) & Medicine Seller (Mononoke)

So my first thought here was the Medicine Seller crossing paths with Kurama in the bad old days, but I'd also be very interested to see the Medicine Seller in the 90s, investigating a disturbance at the same time as Kurama (one that may or may not involve Kurama himself directly). What might Kurama make of the Medicine Seller? Would he already be known to Kurama even if he'd never actually met him in person? I don't think Kurama's nature would trouble the Medicine Seller, but it might be inconvenient if it came up say, with him and Kurama trapped in a situation involving Kurama's human classmates/coworkers/casual acquaintances.

Kushiel's Legacy- Jacqueline Carey

Alcuin no Delaunay & Imriel de la Courcel
In a universe where Alcuin survived the attack on Delaunay's home, it seems inevitable that he would have met Imriel. Even if he took Hyacinthe's place with the Master of the Straits, he still would've encountered Imriel upon Phedre freeing him. I think it would've been really interesting having such a different male role model in Imriel's life besides Joscelin. Alcuin as teacher, or Alcuin as sort of uncle/godfather figure, or both? I initially imagined this request with the Imriel of Scion or earlier, but it occurs to me now that Alcuin would be a really interesting confidant for Imriel when he reached the point of struggling with attraction/feelings for Sidonie, given all we know Alcuin was willing to do for love. What advice might Alcuin have for Imriel? Or, what might helping to raise Imriel do to heal Alcuin's heart?

Sidonie de la Courcel
I feel like one of the few people who fell super hard for Sidonie super quickly. She's so prickly and self-contained and fierce! I would especially love fic with her dealing with what happened with Astegal, because I felt kind of cheated out of that part of her arc. But I am also totally here for fic with her growing up and bonding with Alais and/or Ysandre, or sometime in the future ruling Terre d'Ange. Or interacting with Phedre (and/or Joscelin)! Or interacting with Barquiel! Or interacting with Melisande! (Or as a special AU treat, Alcuin!) Shipwise I like Sidonie's canon love interests very much (and I'll include Maslin in that category) and would also be interested in her interacting with any Night Court adepts providing it didn't break up her marriage or anything, but by no means feel compelled to write something shippy if you don't want to.

Tokyo Babylon
Sumeragi Subaru (Trick)

I’d really like another story or supernatural slice of life from Subaru’s onmyouji work. I loved the way ghosts and evil spirits intersected with day to day urban life in Tokyo, with Subaru often being the sole witness to a lonely soul’s private agony. Maybe something from when he was just starting out, or something between Tokyo Babylon and X? Or perhaps something from his training before he started out, or an unsettling ghostly encounter before he totally understood what was going on? Feel free to go canon levels of dark.

PLEASE do NOT write me something heavily focused on Seishirou/Subaru. I don’t mind references to the relationship as it was at any point in canon or how the fallout from Seishirou revealing his true nature and Hokuto's subsequent sacrifice affected Subaru emotionally, but I don’t want a Seishirou/Subaru story. I will also add that I never finished reading X (yes, I know, neither did anybody else but I mean I stopped a couple volumes in) so most references to its events will be lost on me.

幽☆遊☆白書 | YuYu Hakusho: Ghost Files
Kurama | Minamino Shuichi (Trick or Treat)

Kurama is an old favorite of mine, and rewatching the anime lately has just made me fall in love with him all over again. I love how despite his well-mannered, gentle veneer he's really utterly terrifying and vicious when he chooses to be (honestly Yusuke got lucky never having to take him down in a fight). I’d love a little Kurama-centric adventure/slice-of-life (especially if it features him being absolutely ruthless to a badly behaved youkai or human) or something with the weirdness of growing up a second time in a human body, or something featuring his relationship with his mother. I'm also fond of Kurama & Hiei and Kurama/Hiei, as well as Kurama & Yusuke and Kurama/Yusuke, so I'd be happy to receive something with any of those dynamics. Maybe Hiei and/or Yusuke gets in a troublesome situation they can't handle alone and Kurama has to help out? (Could be big life-threatening trouble or minor, embarrassing trouble)

(I will note that I love all the YYH characters, so please don't bash any of them, most particularly Mukuro and Keiko, both of whom I've seen get treated poorly in fic far too often)

(I am doing far too many exchanges this summer, so this is the first of several letters. I apologize to my flist for this sudden shocking burst of activity)

Hello! And thank you for considering writing one of my fandoms. I promise I'm quite easy to please, and I'm very excited about all of these canons even if I've written slightly more about some of them than others. Obviously any ideas I suggest are just ideas, not demands, so don't worry!

Note that if you wish to stalk for further reading about these fandoms I have previously requested (and received lovely fic for) Leviathan over on Livejournal, and the same goes for Chrestomanci, but I don't believe I've done so for Oz or Blossom Culp.
