Because if I don't do this now I am probably never going to get around to doing it, and I have another exchange letter to write good lord.

First of all, my Alois-hating soul is very pleased with whoever wrote this comment (originates here)

"Well, to be a heartless free-market type about it, you get what you pay for. And Claude bought Alois on the cheap. Look at the difference in contract terms: Sebastian has bound himself to serve Ciel, not lying to him and following all his orders, until Ciel's stated goals are fulfilled, while Claude has only agreed to serve Alois for as long as he feels like it. If that. His actual obligation may have come to an end when Alois inherited the Trancy title and estate.

My sympathy for Claude here is very, very limited. He bought a Big Mac and paid for a Big Mac. If what he really wanted was sushi from Sukiyabashi Jiro, he should have considered that ahead of time, not tried to steal somebody else's."

And Kuroshisuji 95 came out and it was basically everything I could have hoped for, hearts in my eyes, etc etc. For the most part I am fairly exhausted with this meandering storyarc so I hesitate to say that I'm looking forward to the prospect of Sullivan and the Queen having tea although it has potential, but I am damn glad that Sebastian seems to have a better idea of what the fuck is going on here than I do because what with the month long breaks between chapters and the general sort of crypticness I really wasn't sure that the werewolves were even up to something, let alone what they were up to. I've actually forgotten why we're in Germany!

Meanwhile, I've been watching Book of Circus and I'm pleasantly surprised by how much I've liked it so far. I was kind of prepared to be bored and feel like I'd already seen this so whatever but I think they're doing a great job with the material and it's apparently been long enough since I read the Circus arc that I've forgotten some of the gags. I've been eating spiffy desserts while watching (which is generally the optimal way to appreciate any Kuroshitsuji anime) but I probably won't be able to do that the next two weeks since I'm going to be on vacation.

Also there is this fest going on here which I would love to be able to commit to but I'm preparing myself for the possibility that it might not happen since I'll be out of the country for most of Round 1.

And now, back to trying to pull together my letter for Gen Swap. And, you know, pack for vacation and hastily do my laundry so I can pack it for vacation.
